Best TV of 2021

In a time when film seems to be struggling due to lack of movie theater attendance, television thrived and continued its reign over entertainment. We've had some spectacular new shows (WandaVision, Hacks), shows that improved upon previous seasons (Saturday Night Live, Rick and Morty), and some wonderful comedy specials (Bo Burnham: Inside, Tig Notaro: Drawn). Below I'll list my top 15 TV episodes of the year along with my favorite Summer Olympic moments, and list the rest of my TV episodes in the comments. I will also be presenting my 2021 Trevie TV Awards. I limit myself to shows I've seen every episode/special that aired this year, with the exception of News Magazine shows (New York Times Presents, 20/20). Now this should be obvious, but I'll say it anyway: Although I've watched a lot of TV this year, I have not seen all TV. For example, I was unable to watch my number one show last year Work in Progress due to losing the Showtime subscription, and I started the incredible The Other Two too late to watch season two in time to make this list. Also keep in mind that the placement of an episode does not necessarily reflect my overall thoughts on the show as a whole. So without further ado:

1. WandaVision - "We Interrupt This Program"

2. Ted Lasso - "Carol of the Bells"

3. Bo Burnham: Inside

4. What We Do In The Shadows - "The Escape"

Best Music of 2023

Best Music of 2023     The year of 2023 will be remembered as a year pop experimented in new styles. Sure, we got the return of our favorite pop artists like Olivia Rodrigo and two more Taylor Swift re-records, but we saw a rise and return in popularity of pop subgenres, including house (Troye Sivan), art (Caroline Polachek), rock (boygenius), disco (Jessie Ware), and folk (Noah Kahan). Trevor's 100 Favorite Animated Films

Trevor's 100 Favorite Animated Films      Animation is my favorite film technique. I have always been drawn (hehe) to the medium. Perhaps it’s because it is the most impressive form of filmmaking since practically everything has to be made from scratch. Or perhaps it is because animation is the ultimate escapism: A temporary entrance into a world entirely different from our own. All of these films resonate with me for many reasons: Their animation style, story, enjoyment, and sometimes even a big dash of nostalgia. It is not based on what the general consensus is on quality and influence. In the comments, I will post a link to the rest of the list of 4 stars+ animated films. From feature length computer animated epics to short stop motion flicks, here are my top 100: 100. Fantastic Mr. Fox  (2009) (Director: Wes Anderson) 99. Presto  (2008) (Director: Doug Sweetland) 98. Duck Amuck (1953) (Director: Chuck Jones) 97 . The Cat Concerto (1947) (Director...
